Shoreline Aurora Corridor Plan and Implimentation
The completion of the first mile was a long and very costly process. Looking South the $5,000,000 bicycle and pedestrian bridges are visible. Looking North the next phase of construction is beginning. With the new City manager there has been a greater willingness to find a compromise plan that leaves most businesses intact. The original plan would have wiped out business with 12 foot wide sidewalks and a wide median barrier. The hybrid plan moves the road slightly east or west at different places to minimize the impact on existing business.
